About Ralph the Jazz Cat

Hi I am Ralph. I am so excited about going on tour in my compost burning Jazz Bus,with my long time companions, Morningstar, Miranda, Stieff, Crow, Silvo, Zach and Bryn.

Morningstar and I met way back in the early years of the awakening in the pound of all places! Can you imagine? It was a time when animals where not allowed to go out alone with out a human person even during the day light hours. Actually Morningstar and her mom, saved me from certain death.

My human might not have found me in time to save me. Animals where routinely executed in these prisons simply for existing without human supervision or for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Morningstar was much more savvy than I was back in those early days. She knew her phone number and address and even her last name and was able to beg for one phone call. She took several of us home with her that morning when her mom came to get her.

They helped me locate my own human, Zach. Boy was I ever happy to see him again!

Together Morningstar and our two humans became very involved in creating a halfway house for displaced animals to stay and started rescuing people one by one. Eventually we had set up learning centers and job centers for these animals who where homeless or had misplaced their human families.

Eventually Morningstar and I where instrumental in getting these cruel laws changed. Basically the bottom line was money. By “buying” strays we got people to bring them to us instead of leaving them for the pounds. We then had to figure out what to do with these stray animals.

We created jobs and activities so people could afford to live in group homes with homeless humans, runaway humans, and drug rehab humans in transition. We where able to find funding to create combination human and animal homes with locally grown food to support themselves and eventually ended the homeless problem for everybody, human and non human alike.

I still go on tour a lot performing with my fusion jazz group but right now I am enjoying touring with my old companions on this hundred year anniversary.About Ralph the Jazz Cat
